4 Days Kidepo Valley National Park

DURATION
4 DAYS | 3 NIGHTS
Safari Overview

Named as Uganda’s most beautiful park by Lonely Planet, Kidepo is for sure Uganda’s best kept secret. Being the farthest of all the national parks in Uganda, Kidepo is best known for its untouched beauty. A visit to the park gives you a feeling like no other with an abundance of wildlife as compared to any other national park in Uganda. The great savanna landscapes and the mountains in the background make you feel like being at the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater at the same time.

Safari/Trip details
  • DAY 1 - To Kidepo Valley National Park

Meet and greet our company representative who will assist you with anything you might need before the start of your safari. Drive to Kidepo National Park the most remote and pristine national park in the country. The park has some of the most amazing scenery in the country! For many people, this is the most beautiful park in Uganda. Here you will find almost no tourists leaving you free to enjoy the park and its unique combination of wildlife without distraction.

  • DAY 2 - Morning & Evening Game Drive

On a game drive in Kidepo National Park, you will find zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions, and leopards. This is also the only place besides the Pian Upe game reserve in Uganda where you can find the cheetah and ostrich.

Kidepo is famous for its lions relaxing on the rocks - a scene which may remind you of a certain Disney film. You might even be very lucky to spot a leopard or cheetah! Besides the 4x4 safaris, you can also take a bushwalk in the park with an armed ranger.

  • DAY 3 - Nature Walk/ Cultural Tour

Explore the beautiful scenes in Kidepo N.P on a walking safari. In the morning with the help of an experienced game ranger indulge in a nature walk where footprints and animal droppings can be identified and your ranger guide will be able to tell you which animal has left it and how long ago. Approaching wildlife at such a close range is a safari highlight always to remember.

In the afternoon indulge in a community/cultural excursion that brings you into direct contact with the Karamajong tribe. These cattle-herding natives are related to the Maasai in Kenya in their dress, language, and ways of life.

Get to visit the traditional home (manyatta) of the Karamajong. Basic guidelines are shared to avoid cultural interference. This will ensure a sustainable tourism model that does not corrupt local traditions and ways of life.

  • DAY 4 - Departure

Depart Kidepo National Park back to the starting point of your safari.
