Safari Overview

Uganda is a unique destination offering a wonderful mix of savannah and forest parks. Gorilla and chimp trekking are highlights, but many smaller primates can be seen as well. Uganda also offers great savannah safaris, and all of the Big Five are present. Lion is quite common in Queen Elizabeth, Murchison Falls and Kidepo national parks, where they can often be found hunting Uganda kob.


Safari/Trip details
  • 1 - Transfer and Rhino sanctuary

    Arrival at Entebbe international airport. your guide will pick you up and take you to your lodge and brief you.

    Have dinner and an overnight stay.

  • 2 - Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to Murchison falls national park

    After breakfast, set off for Ziwa rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking. With packed lunch.  After proceed to Murchison Falls national park. The biggest national park in Uganda with the world's most powerful waterfall as its main attraction.

    Dinner and an overnight stay at your lodge.

  • 3 - Game-drive and boat-cruise

    After a morning breakfast, depart for a game drive where you can spot and see giraffes, elephants, lions, leopards and more. In the afternoon, after having your lunch you leave for  a boat-cruise on the mighty Nile to enjoy reptiles and  hippos and birds on the shores. Spend the night in Budongo forest to enjoy the jungle life. 

  • 4 - Transfer to Hoima

    Have a relaxed breakfast and soak in the surroundings. After breakfast your guides take you to the town of Hoima. Spend the afternoon and evening relaxing at the hotel.

  • 5 - Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

    Have a morning  breakfast and depart for Kibale forest national park.Have lunch on the way and proceed to kibale national park where you will spend the night at your lodge.

  • 6 - Your PlanChimps trekking day

    Be woken up by the sounds of the jungle and get ready for your chimpanzee trekking experience. Your guide takes you to the starting point and you set off in to the beautiful jungle to see the chimpanzees. After the chimps trekking your guide meets you, you have lunch and proceed to Queen Elizabeth national park for an overnight stay.

  • 7 - Game-drive and boat-cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park

    Wake up early in the morning for a game-drive in the Kasenyi, Queen Elizabeth national park. Here you have the chance of seeing lions, elephants, buffaloes, an abundance of birds and more. After lunch your guide takes you to the afternoon boat-cruise on Kazinga channel, hippos, crocodiles, elephants and warthogs can be spotted along the shores of the channel.

  • 8 - Tree-climbing lions in Ishasha and transfer to Bwindi

    Head off to the Ishasha part of Queen Elizabeth national park in the morning after breakfast. A chance of meeting baboons and elephants along the way. In Ishasha you find topis, buffaloes and search for the tree-climbing lions. The lions in this area are famous for climbing up great fig trees to take a rest. After the game-drive you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. Enjoy the changing landscape  towards the misty mountains of the gorillas.

  • 9 - Gorilla trekking day.

    The gorilla tracking day. Your guide will take you to the starting point of the gorilla trekking in the morning and you set off for your adventure. The tracking takes you through the jungle up to the point where the gorillas are and you get to spend one hour with them. When you are back from the gorilla tracking your guide takes you to the stunningly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi.

  • 10 - Relax by Lake Bunyonyi

    Have a free day by Lake Bunyoyi. Here you can rent a canoe to explore the islands, take a swim (the lake is free of hippos, crocodiles and bilharzia), go for a hike or just relax with a book. 

  • 11 - Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

    After breakfast you set off for Lake Mburo national park. A home of zebras and rare sitatunga antelope species. Have lunch on the way and proceed to Lake Mburo national park.

    Have a game drive as you proceed to your lodge for a stay.

  • 12 - Safari-walk and game-drive

    after an early morning breakfast, start the day with a safari-walk in the park. Experience  being one with nature as you see the animals close  during the walk. After lunch, go for a boat trip on Lake Mburo.  Have a chance of spotting a rare antelope specie ' the sitatungas' , crocodiles,  and more species and birds species and zebras.

    head back to the lodge for a night stay.

  • 13 - Transfer to Kampala

    Have an early morning  breakfast and then start the journey to Kampala. Have a stopover  at the Equator for lunch and then proceed to Kampala.

    your guide will drop you at the hotel where you will have dinner and spend a night.

  • 14 - City tour and flight

    after breakfast, prepare for a city tour of Kampala before heading to Entebbe for your flight. The city tour can be adapted to your interests in crafts shopping, cultural sights, or community tourism. The length of the city tour depends on your flight time and your guide will transfer you to Entebbe in time for check-in.
